The Transmission Line (TLine) Division has been working on a Basin Electric Power Cooperative project near Williston ND on the 60 mile Judson to Tande 345kV/115kV line. This project began in May 2016 and projected completion is Aug 2017.
The TLine guys also began work in the Black Hills of SD in August on the 31 mile project, Osage to Rapid City 230kV, for Black Hills Power. Completion is projected in March 2017 and incorporates wood, 2-pole structures through most of the project, along with 25 steel pole structures.
In October, TLine began work on the 160 mile Big Stone, SD to Ellendale, ND 345kV project for Otter Tail Power Company. Work completion is projected in November 2018. The project has 753 steel poles to be assembled and installed, plus stringing 978 miles of conductor.
Brink’s Substation Division has been equally busy. They are currently working on 5 substations in Colorado, Wyoming, and Kansas, with a new substation project for Rocky Mountain Power, a PacifiCorp company, beginning next week. A 7th substation for Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association will also begin shortly.
