Mr. Tunison is currently serving as Vice President of Crux Subsurface, Inc. (Crux), where he played a pivotal role furthering innovation in the deep foundation industry. Mr. Tunison was part of a team responsible for developing and patenting multiple designs and installation methods relating to deep foundations for electrical transmission structures.
Mr. Tunison holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Washington State University, with minors in Geology and Biology. He has more than 25 years’ experience in geotechnical drilling, and his experience extends from geotechnical exploration drilling, to geo-structural design for major infrastructure projects.
Mr. Tunison co-founded Crux in 1998 and saw the company through an acquisition to Quanta Services (NYSE: PWR) in 2012. QS was formed in 2014 from Crux’s engineering capabilities, and both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Quanta Services. QS collaborates with Crux and a number of other Quanta companies to provide foundation EPC and value engineering services to some of the largest utilities in the United States. Mr. Tunison will also serve as President for Crux.
